Commercial air conditioning applications for hotels, shopping malls, office buildings and industrial facilities with special requirements in cooling, heating and air treatment or management.

The commercial systems are selected either with water coolant or freon coolant and are combined with a wide range of local or central air conditioning units. Selection criteria are on the one hand the functionality and ensuring the ideal climate and on the other hand the energy saving and the ensuring of a sustainable environmental footprint.

CARRIER commercial water systems have a wide range of machines such as air-cooled or water-cooled chiller units, air-water and water-water heat pumps, water terminal and central air-conditioning units.

Their installation includes a complete hydrostation with inertia tanks, in-line recirculation pumps, cut-off and adjustment valves, control automations and overall management of cooling water and air conditioning.

They have high efficiency compressors and energy class either centrifugal type, or scroll, rotary or screw type with a wide range of power. High temperature heat pumps are designed to produce hot water up to 85 oC.

Central air conditioning systems are selected for demanding and complex applications for air management (AirHandlingUnits) by central air conditioning units with multiple treatment stages such as filtration, cooling, heating, humidification or post-heating dehumidification. The choice of water as a refrigerant is also a cheap and ecological solution due to its zero effect on the destruction of the ozone layer.

The multi-zone air conditioning (VRF) systems of TOSHIBA and CARRIER operate with freon and offer possibilities of high connectivity of indoor units (up to 128) in long distances and altitude differences. They have great installation flexibility with many options of indoor units such as wall, floor, ceiling, floor standing, cassettes and duct type.

They are distinguished for their high energy efficiency in cooling and heating and therefore the greatest energy savings, thanks to the twin or even triple rotary compressors that operate with DC Inverter technology. The combination of the adjustment of the compressor rotation frequency in short intervals of 0.1 Hz with the pulsed operation of the valves of the indoor units, ensures the uniform compression of the coolant according to the thermal or cooling requirements.

Multi-zone air conditioning systems have automatic coolant leak detection systems that circulate in the piping network. This automation operates through a central controller and a network of sensors that detect leakage or excessive concentration of freon in an air-conditioned space. When the value is high, they immediately stop the operation of the part of the refrigerant network that presents the specific leak.

They present several applications in buildings with high requirements of comfort and performance such as hotels, office buildings, showrooms and department stores.

Packaged Rooftop air conditioning systems ensure optimum indoor air quality (IAQ) as they treat all fresh air by cooling, heating, humidifying, or dehumidifying and heat exchange with recovery. They are autonomous air conditioning units that operate with freon and can connect and distribute air conditioning air through a network of air ducts. They have central control through specialized software (PLC) for their configuration and adjustment of their functions.

Packaged Rooftop air conditioning systems are recommended for applications where precise temperature and humidity control is required, such as hospital rooms, clinical and laboratory areas, high-tech industrial uses.
