Filtration

Mechanical filtration filters

Φίλτρανση-Διήθηση

Mechanical filtration filters are used for the primary purification of water from suspended solids such as soil, sand, rust in size 50-300μm. AISI304 and AISI316 stainless steel screens suitable for use in drinking water are used as particle separation means. They are cleaned from the sediments by hydro cyclonic siphoning manually or automatically.

An alternative proposal for mechanical filtration is the cartridge filters which are placed single or multiple depending on the volumetric flow in a stainless steel or plastic container with anti-corrosion properties. Cartridge filters are porous polypropylene materials with a filtration size of 1 to 50 μm.

Multilayer filtration filters

Automatic filters with bed stratification from different materials such as quartz or glass sand, zeolite, AG filter but also different granulometry for filtration and retention of suspended particles such as dust, rust, sand and bacteria such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

The filtration capacity of the fillers is between 5-40μm while their operation is automatic with the use of electromechanical valves in plastic pressure vessels. Their advantage is the filtration at high flow rates, small pressure drop and automatic cleaning with reverse washing programmed in time through the head.

The heads have control valves of the American company Clack Corporation USA and the Chinese company FOBRITE.
